Worth result for a Painted Brick Tudor Revival Cottage: estimated value $450K to $750K, low confidence at 40%. The reasoning describes a 1930s-style painted brick cottage with an arched entry and mature trees, and says the range assumes about 1,500 to 2,000 square feet in a desirable urban neighborhood.
A real result: low confidence, and the answer names the assumption it had to make.

A photo of a house can show its number and whatever else is in view. Frame it the way you would want it kept.

What Worth reads from the photo.

Style and era
A Tudor revival cottage, a mid-century ranch, a new build: the form dates the house.
Materials and upkeep
Roof, masonry, paint, windows and landscaping, as seen from outside.
A size class
A rough bracket from the frontage and the number of storeys. The answer states the range it assumed.
The setting in frame
Mature trees, the street, the neighbouring houses, where they are in the photo.

Each answer names the one thing that would move the estimate most. Tap a quick answer, type a line, or take the follow-up photo: the price is worked out again the moment it is taken.

  1. Zip code

The same house is a different price in a different neighbourhood.

Show WorthType the zip code or the neighbourhood. It is the largest single correction.

  2. Square footage and lot

Living area is the basis of every comparable sale.

Show WorthType the living area and the lot size if you know them.

  3. Bedrooms and bathrooms

They decide which nearby sales the house is compared with.

  4. Year built and updates

A new roof, kitchen or wiring moves the number. Deferred work moves it the other way.

Show WorthAdd what was done and when.

  5. Condition inside

It is invisible from the street and it is where much of the value sits.

Questions.

Is this an appraisal?
No. It is an estimate from a photo with a stated confidence. A sale, a loan or an insurance policy needs a licensed appraiser or an agent’s comparable sales.
Why is the confidence low?
Because a photo from the street leaves out the things that price a house: where it is, how big it is and what it is like inside. Tell Worth the zip code and the square footage and the range tightens.
Can I price a house I am walking past?
Yes. That is what it is for: a quick read on a house that caught your eye. Be considerate about what else is in the frame.
Is Worth free?
Free to start: three scans a day, each with live prices, no account. Worth Pro is an optional subscription for forty scans a day and export.
